TANZEVENT 2026: a great start for the ZHS Showgroups!
One highlight was that the ZHS show groups were able to perform for the first time as part of the dance event.
The Tango Argentino show group, led by Cristian Taffarello and Isabella Schmitt, performed a partner dance that emphasized connection and a shared sense of movement.
The Contemporary Dance show group, led by Franziska Stark, presented an expressive choreography drawn from contemporary dance.
The Acrobatics & Circus group, led by Guido Schlaich and Florian Loeffl, impressed with partner tricks, body tension, and pyramids.
Other ZHS groups enriched the program:
Breakdance and House Dance by Jenkin Ng created a fitting, energetic atmosphere both before the intermission and at the end of the event.
Urban Dance and Dance Mix, led by Linda Rosenberger, brought additional dynamism and a great atmosphere to the stage.
The ballet group, directed by Paulina Kalvelage and Marianna Martinez Salgado, showcased elegance and technical skill, while the university dance circle, led by Helga Burkhard, presented traditional couple dance forms.
Students from TUM’s Gymnastics & Dance program also presented solos and group pieces they had created themselves, enriching the program with artistic contributions.
The dance event thus provided a shared platform for various dance disciplines at the university and showcased the diversity of the ZHS’s offerings to both the audience and the participants.
