(all courses in the Olympic indoor swimming pool are also cancelled; ‘free swimming’ and sport at the "beach and tennis facilities" will take place)

Our program includes ball sports and games, mountain and climbing sports, fitness and health sports, martial arts, dance, trend and leisure sports, gymnastics and athletics, water sports, and winter sports. With around 600 sports events per semester, there is a suitable course for every passion.

Our expertise is based on experience, knowledge, and our wide network in sports. We share our expertise with all interested people through our sports programs in general and also through specific workshops. In this way, we aim to support personal development and holistic education.

Train at our many sports facilities

Our home is the 34-hectare former training ground of the 1972 Olympic Games, which now shines again after the new construction of 19 new sports halls and rooms and the renovation of numerous outdoor facilities. Our sports programs also take place at other locations in the Munich area.

Bookings for the summer semester are already in progress. Bookings for the semester break will open at the end of June.

Ticket system

The basic ticket is required to participate in our sports program in the respective semester. It allows you to take advantage of numerous courses and activities. You will need separate tickets for specific courses, which you can book flexibly.


The proof of your bookings and tickets is provided by the ZHS Card. Once you have booked your basic ticket and uploaded the required documents, you can simply pick it up with your student ID or employment certificate from the designated office at the respective location.

Eligibility to participate

All current students and employees of the universities in Munich, Freising, Landshut, and Triesdorf, as well as their relatives, can participate in the Zentraler Hochschulsport. Our News

Important changes in Terms of Registration and Participation

From the summer therme 2024, we will be adjusting our registration and participation conditions at ZHS to make our sports offer easier and fairer for everyone! The adjustments concern the withdrawal and cancellation conditions, the access controls and the exchange of course places.

New: Workshops at ZHS

We are pleased to be able to expand our program with a new, innovative workshop series and hope it awakens curiosity about a great combination of knowledge transfer and practice.

TUM Campus in Olympiapark officially dedicated

The new TUM Campus in Munich's Olympiapark was officially dedicated on 16th of May 2022, exactly four years after the groundbreaking ceremony. The building and the overall facilities will primarily be used by the Department of Sport and Health Sciences of the Technical University of Munich (TUM), with approximately 3,000 student users per semester, as well as by the Munich University Sports Center…
