What's going on at ZHS?

On Tuesday, May 21 2019, the roofing ceremony for the first stage of construction was celebrated. The gyms - a total of 14 - will be used by ZHS participants by the summer semester 2020.

From April 28th to Mai 2nd the Kornati Cup took place in Croatia. It is one of the biggest amateur regattas for yachts. The team starting fot the ZHS took home a good 8th rank in their group of 24 boats.

The Munich Krasshoppers are the Mixed-Softball-Team of the universities in Munich and participate every year in the college-series, the national university championship in Mixed-Fastpitch-Softball. Find the game report of the first day here!

The ZHS joins the Uni-Liga network! This means the format of the Munich University Championship football has changed. The biggest new special feature: the winner qualifies for the German finale of the Uni-Liga. Everything you need to know.

Accompanied by sunshine, the first Munich Open University Championship in Orienteering took place on May 1st on the area of the ZHS beach courts, the Olympic Park and the Olympic Village.

The sports campus used by both TU Munich and ZHS will be fully reconstructed by 2022. After about one year of construction work a lot has already been done.

The German Student Championships in trampolining took place on March 3rd in Karlsruhe. After the 3 day event, the team from Munich had a lot to celebrate: the team score landed them the title. Moreover, in Mixed Synchronised the title was won by the athletes from Munich.

The Universiade – the largest international multisport competition after the Olympic Games - draws the best student athletes from around the globe together every second year. This winter, 4 students representing Munich universities are participating.

Isabel Beckstein, student at the TU Munich, won the German university championship title. Michael Tipecska, student at the LMU Munich was also very successful.

The ZHS was named university of the year by the adh on November 18. "We are very happy to be awarded this prize by the adh. It is a great appreciation of the good job our team did over the course of many years.", says Michael Hahn, the director of the ZHS.
