During the 10 year anniversary of the floorball association in Bavaria, the Bavarian League organised a anniversary competition. Even though the semester has only just started, the team under the name ZHS Minga participated successfully in the tournament and landed second place.
The two women and six men who train regularly on tuesday evenings, qualified with a second place in a group of five for the semi-finals. There, ZHS Minga played against TV Augsburg, which was narrowly defeated with 3:2. In the final, the Munich team started against VfL Red Hocks Kaufering, a team composed of five first-league players and many other very experienced players. ZHS Minga did a great job competing against the opposing team and was able to keep the score at 1:1 for a long time. Only 2 1/2 mins bevore the end, the Kaufering team beat the Munich defense and won the tournament with a score of 2:1.
Floorball is similar to indoor hockey but with more resemblence to icehockey, as it is allowed to play behind the goals, but without contact.
Course times are Tuesdays 18.30h – 20.00h DRH1 Performance (Leistung),
Fridays 18.30h – 20.00h DRH1 Beginners/ Advanced.
