Water sports facilities Starnberg (WSP STA)

The water sports facilities in Starnberg are a few minutes walk from the Starnberger Lake train station. Along with a wide selection of sports (sailing, windsurfing, stand-up paddling, slacklining), it is also possible just to sunbath on our private lawn and pier. A concession stand is available to satisfy your culinary needs. Swimming and kiosk are open Fri-Sun.

Directions to the water sports facilities in Starnberg

We recommend taking the S6 S-bahn (tram) towards Tutzing/Starnberg. From there, walk with traffic about 12 minutes along the lake promenade, which leads directly to the lower lake path.

By car: A95 Garmisch-Partenkirchen until the exit for Starnberg. In Starnberg drive towards Possenhofen, under the tracks to the lower lake path (Unterer Seeweg). Watch out - limited parking at Possenhofener Street!

Opening hours 2024 for ZHS water sports courses: 27.04. - 03.10.2024:

Mon always closed

Tue - Fri 30.04. - 16.08.: 08.00 - 21.00 h

Tue - Fri 20.08. - 03.10.: 08.00 - 19.00 h

Sat/Sun/Public holiday 27.04. - 03.10.: 08.30 - 19.00 h

Opening hours 2024 for bathers:

Fri - Sun 17.05. - 08.09.: 10.00 - 19.00 h

Additional information about using the water sports facilities

Entrance fee:
with ZHS-Card	free
with employee badge or student ID, member ID of the booster club (along with photo ID)	adults: 3 € children: 2 € guests: 5 €

Access rules:
Authorized persons of the ZHS in Munich from categories 1 - 4. Members of the ZHS booster club and their children until the age of 13 (not spouses/parters).
Also spouses/partners (same residence) and children (child allowance for students and officials) from categories 1 - 4.
Members of the Sailing Department of the University Sports Club Munich with a valid membership card.
Guests accompanied by persons with access authorization from categories 1-4 or members of the sailing department of the University Sports Club Munich. One guest can be taken along for each authorized person.
